I predominantly use OBS as a form of playing games on my Switch by being able to play from my desktop without needing to completely swap the source so I can easily tab out of the game if I need to do something else on my computer, so using OBS as a form of capturing my game to do so is really helpful to me. I don't plan on ever streaming using this application but it's what I know works best for what I need it to do. And this is a problem I had before but since fixed and despite not touching my console for 2 weeks I don't see how this is a problem that I am having again.
with that context out of the way the issue I have is that when I apply my sources I get clear video and when I actually do anything OBS (or whatever it is) Isn't relaying the audio of my system back to me in any capacity.
I find this odd because OBS is very much recognizing the audio itself as the bars are moving as it's registering the audio but I'm just not able to hear anything out of it. This includes when I record videos locally to my PC that it will register and record the audio I'm just not getting any form of an output.
I've made sure and tried these solutions already and cannot seemingly find a fix to just let me listen to audio :
- Made sure the input capture is on "Monitor and Output"
- Made sure my system OS Settings (Win11) aren't blocking anything through the microphone or general audio to or through OBS
- Made sure that the audio devices and monitoring devices in my settings are selecting the correct device that being my headset
- Made sure that I didn't on accident mute OBS through my Volume Mixer
I tried scouring the internet for this fix before but it's all things that I've tried and or already have enabled and there has still been no solution so if somebody can help out that would be appreciated.
